“God’s Counting on Me, God’s Counting on You”
My husband, Victorio “Roland” Mousaa and I are in it, and it’s truly an inspirational video that gives hope and produces smiles! Thanks to Richard Barone and Matthew Billy for producing it.
For all of my dear readers
I am so sorry for all of the people who have been through the devastation of Hurricane Sandy last week, and are still dealing with the aftermath of it.
I did see on the news a woman in Staten Island who lost almost everything, but she set up a table and was distributing food and items to people and she said it gave her such joy to do that, and help others, that it lessoned her pain. She had a beautiful smile on her face.
I have heard of people from Georgia to Texas who have come to our area in New York/New Jersey/CT, with food, and items and to lend a hand. WOW! Such compassion and love for others being shown. No matter what your circumstances, if you can give of your heart, a smile, a kind gesture, money , if you are able to, a hug, food, a warm place to stay, prayers, YOU will be able
to smile more.
Counting one’s blessings always helps one smile.
It’s a wake up call for all of us to be more kind and to help one another more.
Today, October 5, 2012 is World Smile Day!
Please Join The Smile Revolution and give genuine smiles today and everyday!
Imagine a world where people accept each other’s differences, and love more instead of judge.
Less selfishness, less greed, more generosity, and kindness.
How can you, my dear readers, bless others today?
The world needs more innocence, and expressing more childlike qualities.
Children teach us so much if we will listen.
Sometimes we do need to end relationships that are damaging and the person doesn’t care that
they hurt you over and over. We need people around us who are supportive, loving and kind.
That will help you smile more, so you can give and receive many smiles.

SMILE A WHILE AND WHILE YOU SMILE, ANOTHER SMILES- AND SOON THERE’S
MILES AND MILES OF SMILES AND LIFE’S WORTHWHILE BECAUSE YOU SMILED.
THANKS TO MARJORIE CHARLTON FOR SHARING THIS. SHE SAID THIS TO HER CHILDREN WHEN THEY WERE LITTLE TO CHEER THEM UP AND IT WORKED! GIVE IT A TRY NEXT TIME SOMEONE IS FILLED WITH GLOOM

New York Times best selling author and speaker wrote “Conversations with God series and more. He was a guest on my Smile Revolution Radio Show twice. This is what he said:
“You need not be concerned about money. Be concerned instead, about JOY. How much JOY
are you experiencing in this moment? How much joy are you BRINGING to this moment? The joy you experience will be the joy you bring. If you are waiting for joy to be brought to you, you do not understand what you are doing here. And if you think that joy has anything to do with money, you really do not understand what you are doing here.
There is a person waiting Right NOW, right this minute for you to uplift them. Do that…and you will be rich. Really, I mean really. I am not making this up.”
Interesting, huh? We need a world of people being bringers of joy, not gloom, frowns and coldness. Yes, we all go through rough times, and its harder to smile, but sometimes I need YOU to smile at ME to remind me to smile. Remind me of joy, that is within all of us and is a gift from God ( Or whatever you call the Higher Power, the Divine, the Source etc).
When I had my Smile Revolution Radio Show on WKNY 1490 am Kingston, NY from 2006-2008, a listener sent me a plaque with this anonymous poem.
Their note said, ” Mindy, Even though this plaque is 29 years old, it’s proof, “The Smile” will always be “The Smile”. “A smile is just as good for what ails you as MOM’s chicken soup.”
Your show is very interesting. Welcome. I hope you find a spot for this poem in your show.
Love and smiles,
Sharon and Dennis
A smile is something nice to see,
It doesn’t cost a cent.
A smile is something all your own,
It never can be spent.
A smile is welcome anywhere,
It does away with frowns.
A smile is good for everyone,
To ease life’s ups
“There is no duty we so much underrate as the duty of being happy. By being happy we sow anonymous benefits upon the world.”

“It’s a wondrous thing what a hug can do
A hug can cheer you when you are blue.
A hug can say, “I love you so.
Or “gee. I hate to see you go.
A hug is “Welcome back again,” and
“Great to see you! Where’ve you been?”
A hug can soothe a small child’s pain
And bring about a rainbow after rain.
The hug! There’s been no doubt about it..
We scarcely could survive without it!
A hug delights and warms and charms,
It must be why God gave us arms.
Hugs are great for fathers and mothers,
Sweet for sisters, swell for brothers.
Kittens crave them. Puppies love them.
Heads of state are not above them.
A hug can break the language barrier.
Amd make your travels so much merrier.
No need to fret about your store of “em:
The more you give, the more there is of “em.
So stretch those arms without delay
And give someone a hug today!
Said in his book, “It’s Your Time”, “Scientists said that a friend’s happy face has a more positive influence that a $5,000 raise.”

” Waking up this morning, I smile. 24 brand new hours are before me. I vow to live more fully in each moment and to look at all beings with eyes of compassion.”
He is a Buddhist Monk in Plum Village who writes wonderful books and often talks about smiling.
